Badapple Youth Theatre
Badapple Theatre Company is one of the UK’s most vibrant and prolific touring companies. We have been taking original productions to venues nationwide since 1998, performing in the smallest of community venues with stories to delight audiences of all ages, bringing high-quality theatre to remote locations. We talk about worldwide environmental and social issues with a local perspective and a good dose of fun. Our productions encourage communities to come together and build social networks through our Theatre on your Doorstep project.
We pride ourselves in our work with young people through weekly inclusive, affordable Youth Theatre sessions, Tuesdays in term-time in the village hall (with free scholarship places for those suffering financial hardship) as well as an annual Youth Summer School ‘Play-in-a Week’ and adult amateur performances in the village too.

Green Hammerton Book Club
If you enjoy reading and feel you’d like to discuss your impressions of a book with others, why not try Green Hammerton’s book club – GH Readers? The group meet monthly to discuss a book chosen by the members. The discussion is informal and open-ended. It’s about having a chat about what the book meant to you and hear what others made of it. We read all types of books, but they are mainly contemporary fiction with a few classics and non-fiction thrown in for variety. Monthly meetings are held in the village hall and last about an hour. We source most of our books from the local library so often there is no need to buy them, although there is an annual subscription to cover the costs of the hall and library reservations. For further information just contact Pete Morrill at petermorrill@gmail.com or on 07837 412296
